Thomas Henry, age 77, of Newville, died Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born Friday, September 5, 1941 in Orbisonia, PA, the son of the late Melvin and Dorothy (Booher) Henry. He served in the United States Air Force. Tom was a founding member of the Boiling Springs Civic Association and a member of the Letort Regional Authority. He was an avid fly fisherman and a military history buff. Tom was a United States Marshal until his retirement in 1991. In his early career, he served as White House Uniformed Secret Service and on the DC Metropolitan Police Force. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Mowery) Henry. He is also survived by two daughters, Beth Nank, of Alexandria, VA, Amy Knouse, of Newville, PA one son, Richard Henry of Spring Mills, PA eight grandchildren, Paige, Reagan and Lauren Nank, Emma and Jake Knouse, Simon and Phoebe Henry and Ryley Kirk. He is also survived by four sisters, Dianna Sndyer, Joanne Hicks, Ruth "Penny" Homolash and Nancy Chilcote. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Donna McElrath and Sharon Welch. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A memorial will be held at a later date.
