Thomas G. Marks, age 85 of Gettysburg, passed away February 10, 2026, with his wife holding his hand, at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born February 11, 1940 in Mifflinburg, PA to the late Esther M. (Kline) Moyer and step-father, Franklin “Farmer” Moyer.

Thomas was a machine operator for SKF in Hanover and was a very proud US Army Veteran, serving his country from 1958 – 1961, 2 years of which were served in Italy, achieving the rank of SP4 after enlisting. He enjoyed going to the casino, doing crossword puzzles, woodworking and working with his hands.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy D. (Rinehart) Marks; son, Doug W. Marks of Gettysburg; brother, John Benfer of Winfield, PA; nephew Mike Benfer and niece, Tina Benfer. Also survived by brother-in-law, John Rinehart and wife, Carol of Orrtanna and cousins, Kitty Ulrich and John Kline. Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Corey G. Marks.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. At the family’s request, all services will be private.
