Thomas A. Riccione, age 68 of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He was born Saturday, September 1, 1945 In Elmira, New York, the son of the late Humbert and Muriel (Rider) Riccione. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966 and did two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 223 and Post 396. Thomas was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Geneva, New York, and the Minnequa Club of Shippensburg. He graduated from Geneva High School class of 1963. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Nancy "Nick" (Robinson) Riccione. He is also survived by his three children, Kimberly and husband Patrick Maher, Steven Riccione and wife Shauna, both of Geneva, New York, and Burke Riccione and his wife Alexis of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Jessica Millis, Alexandria and Cody Maher, Ashlyn Riccione, Landon White and Chase Perry; two sisters, Janet Cole and Susan M. Riccione and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Steven Riccione. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg, PA. Internment will be private. A Celebration of Life will be heldat 1:00 PM on Saturday September 6, 2014,at the American Legion, 1115 Lochland Road, Geneva, New York 14456. Memorial contributions may be made in Tom's honor to Better Days Animal Shelter, 12310 Mongul Hill Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
