Thomas Constantine Serkedakis, Jr., “Papou”, age 62 of Chambersburg, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the company of his loving wife. He was born October 25, 1957 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Thomas Constantine Serkedakis, Sr. and Jacqueline Lee (Brown) Schultz. Thomas proudly served in the US Army. Thomas retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after working as a civilian for 30 years. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed watching Fox News and fishing shows. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Doris (Veitengruber) Serkedakis of Chambersburg; two daughters, Melissa (Adam) Bradley of Chambersburg and Christine Serkedakis (Alberto Aviles) of Frederick, MD; son, Thomas Constantine Serkedakis (Tara Nichols) of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Jaden, Jake, McKenna, Jiselle and Kinsley; eight step-grandchildren; half-sister, Deborah Helfrick and several extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Cayde Bradley, two brothers, Ray Helfrick and Charles Whitcup and sister, Cheryl Groves. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Pastor Marlin “Butch” Neil officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A Public Viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services.
