Thomas J. Wright

Thomas, “Tom”, J. Wright, age 76, long-time resident of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday evening, December 12, 2020 at Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg. He was born November 30, 1944 near his hometown of Marceline, MO, as the son of the late Harlan and Marjorie (Owens) Wright. Tom had many health problems over the years but still managed to find enjoyment in his life until the very end. He valued many things – his family, church, golf and hiking buddies – and always wanted to keep trying to live. His strength in adversity was inspiring. Although he is now gone, he is a miracle man. About 20 years ago he received a donated kidney at Johns Hopkins which added several quality years to his life. His kidney was still functioning when he died.
