Travis L. Gilbert

Travis L. Gilbert, age 42, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He was born Friday, April 6, 1973 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Robert P. and Kandy R. (Richardson) Gilbert. Travis loved to hunt, was a family man and proudly served his country as an Army Ranger. He is survived by his fianc�, Cristal E. Peters, and a baby expected in January 2016; his children: Jacob P. Gilbert, Olivia R. Gilbert, Garrett L. Gilbert, Elayna L. Gilbert, Amber N. Burnett, Lexi E. Peters, Tierney B. Peters; step-grandson Zion J. Weller, brother Chris (Tammi) Gilbert, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Military Honors provided by Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 and Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223. A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
