Treva R. Tuckey, age 91 of Biglerville, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg. She was born Tuesday, February 8, 1927 in Menallen Twp., Adams Co., the daughter of the late Merritt G. and Edna (Wagner) Rouzer. Treva graduated from Biglerville High School in 1944. She had worked at the State Capital and at Adams County Novelty Furniture Factory for a number of years. She and her husband built a slaughter house in 1960. They went to Carlisle and Hanover farmers markets where they sold fresh meat and cured hams and bacon. She was a member of the Wenksville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was also a member of the Gettysburg Region Antique Car Club. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing and crafts. She loved all animals and especially dogs. Kandi was her last one, a Bichon Frize. Her husband, Burton E. Tuckey, passed away in 2012. She is survived by nieces and nephews and two special nieces, Sharon Messimer of New Oxford and Beverly Slonaker of Biglerville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald F. and Eugene W. Rouzer. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 26 at 7:00 PM at the Wenksville United Methodist Church, 2010 Wenksville Road, Biglerville with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Wenksville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Wenksville United Methodist Church Gift and Memorial Fund, 2010 Wenksville Road, Biglerville, PA 17307.
