Vera M. Hartlaub, age 88 formerly of Biglerville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Crosskeys Brethren Home in New Oxford. She was born Sunday, January 1, 1928 in Fulton Co., the daughter of the late A. Pierce and Jessie I. (Mellott) Mellott. Vera graduated from Biglerville High School in 1946. C.H. Musselman in Biglerville formerly employed her for 20 years. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Biglerville. Her first husband, Herbert E. Funt passed away in 1959 and her second husband, Kenneth E. Hartlaub passed away in 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Susie F. and husband Ross Kennedy of Sahuarita, AZ and Brenda F. and husband Glenn Mulvey of East Berlin, stepson Randy L. and wife Barbara Hartlaub of Hanover, three grandsons, Eric Hartlaub of Dickerson, MD, Brian Hartlaub of Nazareth, PA and Tom Kennedy of State College, PA and four great grandchildren, Emma Hartlaub, Luke Hartlaub, Mason Hartlaub and Maggie Hartlaub. Her brothers, Walter and Ray Mellott, preceded her in death. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 15 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Linda Summers officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 300 East York Street, Biglerville, PA 17307 or Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
