Verl M. Grim

Verl M. (Burkholder) Grim, age 76, Shippensburg died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Hershey Medical Center.She was born Wednesday, November 1, 1933 in Shippensburg the daughter of late Lester K. and Emma V. (Biedel) Burkholder.Verl graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1951. She had worked at U-Wanna-Wash-Frock in Newville for 13 years. She was later employed by Jack and Jill Daycare Center in Shippensburg for 20 years before her retirement. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. The PA Sunday School Assoc. presented Verl with an award for teaching Sunday School for 57 consecutive years.She is survived by her husband Clifford I. Grim to whom she was married for 55 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Christina V. (Grim) Fields, Shippensburg, her son, Timothy C. Grim and wife Bobbie, Mechanicsburg, a sister, E. Marie Harms, Henderson, NV; four grandchildren: Shannon and Ian Fields,Macey Shawver and Tyler Grim; anda number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death byher brothers, Lloyd K. and Donald E. Burkholder. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, April 23, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 118 W. Main Street, Walnut Bottom with the Reverend Charles Slaybaugh officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. A viewing will also be held at her church on Friday from 9:30 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 118 W.
