Verna M. Frankenfield

Verna M. Frankenfield, age 82 of Heidlersburg, went home to be with Jesus, Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Gettysburg Hospital after a several week battle with pneumonia. She was born Thursday, January 28, 1932 in Biglerville, the daughter of the late William C. and Florence B. (Trimmer) Decker. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Russell L. Frankenfield. She is also survived by a daughter, Elaine C. and husband Reverend Michael Mays of Heidlersburg; three sons, Bill and Melva Jean of Gardners, Wayne R. of Heidlersburg and David and Susan of Gettysburg; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Markley and Genevieve Burgess and two brothers, Clarence Decker and Ralph Decker. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be private and at the discretion of the family.
