Victor K, Taylor, beloved son of First Sgt. Victor Kay Taylor (deceased) and Carole May (Clee) Taylor, passed away May 19, 2026 at Penn State Health, Hershey Medical Center. He died as a result of a motorcycle accident, which is under investigation.
Victor was an “Army Brat”. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany on October 14, 1963 and was a naturalized citizen. Victor previously lived in Karlshrue, Germany and Oberammergau, Germany. Victor lived in many different places, one in particular was Whitehall, OH. There he was on the all-star baseball team and was a Judo champion. In the late 70’s, he moved to Shippensburg with his parents where he had various jobs after graduating from Shippensburg High School in 1982. Later in life, he worked for Advanced Auto and was presently working for Pratt Industries in Carlisle.
Victor was a volunteer in the past for Katie’s Place and SPO in Shippensburg. He was a member of the American Legion Post 223, Shippensburg (The Sons of Liberty) and was Captain of the Legion Riders. There he helped to educate new riders on motorcycle safety. Victor’s love was his motorcycles and riding in any type of weather. Some of his hobbies were his motorcycles, riding since he was 16 and getting people interested in riding. He attended many classes on motorcycle safety. He also liked to fish and work on his home. Spending time with his family on special occasions was a priority for him. He loved to explore the United States. Victor was an honest, loving, kind man who would lend a hand if they needed it. One of his life experiences was being bitten by a rattlesnake and living to tell about it.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Victor Kyle Taylor; grandson, Beau Taylor; cousin, Kathryn Deardorff Harnish and husband, Tyler and their child, Ridge and cousin, Cole Deardorff and wife, Becka and their children, Everett and Jace. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nadine Taylor Deardorff. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Friends are invited to a funeral service at 10:30am on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of funeral service. Victor will be laid to rest at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
