Violet L. Snyder

Violet L. Snyder, age 84 of Newburg, formerly of Hustontown, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born Friday, December 9, 1932 in Maddensville, Huntingdon County, the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Sarah J. (Hershey) Snyder. Violet loved life-her family and friends, the great outdoors and crafting. Beads were always on her mind!!! She resided with her sister, Ruth Hedge and brother-in-law, the late Herbert H. Hedge for over 40 years. She is survived by three sisters, Ruth A. Hedge of Hustontown, Rose Duvall of Chambersburg, Betty Hollinshead of Harrisonville, two brothers, Vaughn Snyder of Harrisonville and Walter Snyder of Hustontown. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Snyder and Goldie Hedge and three brothers, Edward (Sparky), Calvin and Elwood Snyder and her Angel Butch. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be held at the discretion of the family in Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg.
