Virginia B. Day

Virginia B. (Fickel) Day, 92, formerly of Gardners, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Village of Laurel Run Fayetteville. She was born Tuesday, June 12, 1917 in Gardners the daughter of late Charles W. and Elda E. (Wyant) Fickel. Before her retirement, she was employed by C. H. Musselman in Gardners as a seasonal employee for 34 years. She was a member of Mt. Victory United Methodist Church. She had recently attended Foursquare Church of Hanover. Her husband Melvin L. Day died in 2003. She is survived by two sons: Donald W. Day and Robert L. Day both of Gardners, one brother Charles W. Fickel of Gardners,five grandchildren,ten great grandchildren,seven great-great grandchildren. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville with the Reverends Kevin and Cindy Orewiler officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Victory Cemetery in Gardners. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of services.
