Lynn Smith, 79, of Fairfield, PA was called home by the Lord on April 2, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Lynn was born on August 4, 1946, in Lenoir, NC. She was the oldest of 4 children and the daughter of the late Winnie and Marvin Chester. She met her husband, Bob and they married on September 11, 1964.
Together Bob and Lynn had three daughters: Kim, Melissa, and Heather. 7 grandchildren Erica, Rob, Andrew, Lauren, Madison, Alyssa, and Miranda. 9 great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Makenzie, Zadie, Emry, Meriwether, Kora, Ellie, Knox, and Remington.
Lynn worked most of her career in the medical field, serving most of her time at Jefferson Memorial in Ranson, WV. After moving to Fairfield, PA with her husband she worked in different doctors’ offices around Gettysburg, PA. Lynn provided service as an EMT in Brunswick, MD for 12 years. She dedicated most of her younger life to helping and serving the community that she lived in. Lynn was an avid believer in Christ and enjoyed her church family. She was a member at Fellowship Baptist Church for many years but most recently began attending Christ’s Community Church with her husband. In her later years, she enjoyed playing skip-bo, going out to dinner, playing poker, and enjoying her family.
She is survived by her husband, Bob. Her 3 children, Kimberly Potts (David), Melissa Cavey (Joe), and Heather Marino (Anthony). She is survived by her sister, Jennifer Suite and brother, Chet Chester (Hillary).
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lynn’s celebration of life, Saturday, April 11th at 11:00am at Christ’s Community Church, 303 W Lincoln Ave, Emmitsburg, MD 21727. Following her celebration of life her family will host a lunch for everyone to gather and fellowship with the ones who Lynn loved and adored.
