Wayne E. "Ozzie" Warren

Wayne E. "Ozzie" Warren, age 90, of Bendersville died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville. He was born Tuesday, June 28, 1921 in Menallen Township, Adams County, the son of the late Emmert H. and Ruth E. (Black) Warren. Wayne graduated from Arendtsville Vocational School in 1939. He was formerly employed by Knouse Foods at Peach Glen and also as a supervisor for PennDot. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Wenksville, a Life Member of Bendersville Fire Company and a Life Member of Upper Adams Fish and Game. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Vesta T. (Tuckey) Warren. His son, Vincent W. and wife Nadine Warren of Gardners; a grandson, Wade and wife Lauri of Bendersville and two step-great-grandchildren also survive him. Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville is handling professional services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 24 at Dugan Funeral Home, with Reverend Robert S. McEllroy, IIIofficiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 1:00 PM until time of services.
