Wayne Edward Hoff, 76, of Biglerville, accelerated his 18-wheeler and followed on the path to the Kingdom of Heaven, where he now enjoys his favorite fishing spot, on September 25, 2025, surrounded by his family at Mercy House in Chambersburg.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Hoff of Biglerville; two daughters, Kathy Naylor and her husband, Greg of New Oxford and Susan Huber and her husband, Michael of York Springs; son, Robert “Bob” Hoff and his wife, Denise of York Springs; five grandchildren, Rabecca, Devin, Karley, Cody and Kaleb; one great-granddaughter, Anna Deneen; brother, Ronald Hoff and his wife, Judy of Gettysburg; sister, Beth Watts and her husband, Calvin of Dillsburg; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Hoff and Lovina (Everhart) Hoff.
Wayne graduated from Bermudian Springs High School. After high school he enlisted in the Army and served proudly for six years as a sharpshooter. Later he became a truck driver for 52 years, the last 25 years spent working for Knouse Foods. He was a member of Chapel Hill Church of God in York Springs and a life member of Biglerville Fire Company. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed fishing, watching sprint car races and NASCAR, taking care of mowing his yard, and most of all, spending time with his family and beloved dog, Aurora.
Professional Services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral and Cremation, Ltd., Bendersville. A Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral and Cremation, Ltd. 111 S. Main St., Bendersville, PA 17306. The Funeral Service for Wayne Hoff will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Church of God, 4521 Oxford Rd, York Springs, PA 17372, with Reverend Dr. Randy Huber and Pastor Paul Henderson officiating. A Viewing will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. A Procession will follow the service to Biglerville Cemetery where military honors will be provided by Adams County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
