Wayne R. Seibert

Wayne R. Seibert, age 74, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born January 21, 1947 in Carlisle, the son of the late George F. and Mabel K.C. (Watson) Seibert. Wayne graduated from Big Spring High School. He then went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army for the next 30 years. He achieved the position of Master Sergeant and served for two years overseas during the Vietnam War and had been decorated with numerous medals. He was a member of American Legion Post #223 of Shippensburg, VFW Post #6168 in Shippensburg, AMVETS Post #224 of Chambersburg, Minnequa of Shippensburg, White Circle of Carlisle and the Eagles of Carlisle. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy E. (Weaver) Seibert of Shippensburg; daughter, Lisa R. Hanna and her husband, Steven C. Hanna of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Korey C. Washinger and Drista N. Morris; three great-grandchildren, Shealyn R. Morris, Alona L. Morris and Karizma R. Washinger; sister, Sharon Reed of Carlisle; and brother, Anthony Seibert of Carlisle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Ickes. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family.
