Wendy Lee Garland

Wendy Lee Garland, age 72, of Hanover, PA, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at the UPMC Hanover Hospital in Hanover. She was born July 27, 1950 in Carlisle, PA to the late Norman D. and Joyce M. (Beam) Lybrand.

Wendy was employed as a waitress for over 40 years. She was employed most recently with the former Roberts Restaurant in Hanover, PA. Wendy enjoyed going to yard sales, collecting angels, watching scary movies and going to the mountains. She loved animals and her cats. Her most cherished time was spending it with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Samuel W. Garland of Hanover; two daughters, Carlene F. Valois and her husband, Regis of France and Georgia Hertzler and her husband, Steven of Fayetteville, PA; two step-daughters, Amanda M. Chinnick and companion, Ricky Clinton, Jr. of Arendtsville, PA and Kari R. Weaver and her husband, Brant of East Berlin, PA; two sisters and six brothers, Cheryl Groft of Hanover, Norman D. Lybrand, Jr. of Mt. Holly Springs, Vernon D. Lybrand of Carlisle, George W. Lybrand of Gardners, Jeffrey L. Lybrand of Gardners, Gregory A. Lybrand of Gardners, Jo Ann Yeingst of Gardners and Cofer E. Lybrand of Aspers, ten grandchildren, David and Ron Gladfelter, Gabriel Valois, Ashley Reynolds, Autumn and Jeffrey Hughes, Kyle Swords, Brandon Briel and Alexis and Brittany Woods; two step-grandchildren, Marlee Weaver and Garret Clinton; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and two sons, Jennifer Lee Hughes, William Woods, Jr., and an infant son, David Woods; one grandson, Tanner Reynolds; one step-grandson, Dylan Chinnick and two brothers, Carl F. Lybrand and Clair Lybrand.

Professional Services are entrusted to the Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville, PA. There will be no public viewing. Memorial Services will be held by the family at a later date.
