William "Bill" Roy Wenger, 81, of Shippensburg, died at Chambersburg Hospital on Sunday, July 8, 2012. He was born in Shippensburg, on Thursday, October 23, 1930, son of the late Roy Myers Wenger and Nellie Mae (Warren) Wenger. Bill was the husband of Jean Elizabeth (Tritt) Wenger whom he married on October 12, 1957. Bill graduated from Shippensburg High School as part of the class of 1948. He was a member of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where he served as a Church Elder. Bill retired from the Patriot-News in 1996 having worked as both a printer and in the classified department. Bill's survivors include his loving wife of almost 55 years, Jean Elizabeth (Tritt) Wenger; his three sons, William W. Wenger and his wife Audrey of Davidsville, PA, John Mark Wenger of Carlisle, and Nicholas L. Wenger and his wife Sherry of Shippensburg; his four grandchildren, Adam, Eli, Joseph, and Jessica. The Wenger family has entrusted Bill's services to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive,Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 12, at Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, 135 Middle Spring Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Reverend Derek A. Wadlington and Reverend Kimberley D. Wadlington will officiate. Interment will be in Middle Spring Cemetery. Bill's family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at his church following the interment. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive,Shippensburg, on Wednesday, July 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and at Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, 135 Middle Spring Road, Shippensburg, on Thursday, July 12 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.
