Bill

William "Bill" Lawrence Cook, age 73, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Chambersburg Hospital.

Bill graduated in the Class of 1968 from Hanover Park High School in East Hanover, New Jersey, where he was known as "Captain Cook." Formerly a self-employed auto and farm mechanic in NJ, he worked for eight years as a mechanic for T.B. Woods. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed hiking and was known as “oldnitehiker” on the Appalachian Trail. He also enjoyed 4-wheeling, boating, long drives, and was a natural born machinist and mechanic, often creating tools to help him with his work.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Lianne (Eaton) Cook of Shippensburg, daughter, Dawn Conklin; two granddaughters, Alyssa Conklin and Adrianna Harris; sister, Robin Harter and her husband, John and brother, Matt Saloman.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services are at the discretion of his family.
