William H. Link, Sr.

William, “Bill”, Herman Link, Sr., age 91, of Chambersburg, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Paramount Nursing and Rehab, Fayetteville. He was born Wednesday, September 10, 1930 in Philadelphia, the son of the late Herman E. and Claire V. (Carr) Link. William was formerly employed by McKee foods as a sales representative for many years. He served in the US Air Force where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bill also was a member of the Air Force Band and served during the Korean War. After his service in the Air Force, he was a member of several bands, including La Banda Verdi, of Norristown, PA, which he managed for a number of years and the Windjammers Inc., The Circus Music Historical Society. He is survived by his companion, Marjorie VonDrach. He is also survived by three daughters; Joann Werther of Oconomowoc, WI, MaryBeth Garvin of Maine, Barbara Link, of Hampstead, NC, two sons, John Link of Justin, TX and William Herman Link, Jr. of Hampstead, NC., two sisters, Norma Lugor and Claire Link and one brother, Thomas Link.
