Funeral Assistance Information
If your loved one or family member died from COVID-related reasons, you may be eligible for a reimbursement on your funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020. The COVID-19 incident period ended on May 11, 2023. FEMA will continue to provide funeral assistance until September 30, 2025, to those who have lost loved ones due to this pandemic.

The application requires:
1. An official death certificate that attributes the death to COVID-19
2. Funeral expense documents
3. Proof of funds received from other sources
