John D. Gageby, age 61 of Biglerville, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at his home. He was born Thursday, April 27, 1950 in Martinsburg, WV, the son of the late J. Henry and Lila M. (Billmyer) Gageby.

John graduated from Biglerville High School. He was employed by SCAAP Weatherization for 17 years.  He was a member of  Upper Adams Jaycees having served as secretary for several years. He had served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Cathy (Barber) Gageby to whom he was married for 36 years. He is also survived by his daughter: Jennifer L. and husband John Daus of Chambersburg; three sons: Shawn C. and wife Anne Gageby of Fairfield, Timothy J. Gageby of Lititz, and Michael N. Gageby of Gettysburg; one sister, Beverly A. Harris of Biglerville and eight grandchildren.

Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1170 Kohler Mill Road, New Oxford with Bishop Bruce Buxton officiating.
