Mrs. Kathryn R.
Coover, age 84 of Shippensburg, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at
Shippensburg Healthcare Center, Shippensburg. She was born Tuesday,
March 15, 1927 in Shippensburg, the child of the late Joseph E. and
Margaret E. (Leidig) Reilly.
Kay graduated from
Shippensburg High School. In her early years she worked in the
Cumberland County Courthouse in Carlisle and then as a librarian
assistant for Shippensburg Area Junior and Senior High
Schools. Most of her life she was a housewife
Kay is survived by her
husband, Charles "Leon" Coover to whom she was married for nearly
60 years. She is also survived by two sons: Tracy C. and wife
Debra Coover, and Randall L. and wife Tina Coover, both of
Shippensburg; five grandchildren: Brandon Coover, Morgan Coover,
Tyler Coover, Madison Coover, Makenzie Coover.
Professional services
are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,
Shippensburg. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM on
Tuesday, January 24 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg with
Reverend Michael Miller and Reverends Derek and Kim Wadlington
officiating.
