We are members at FUMC of Palmyra. Bob was really missed by our family when he moved away. He always had a kind word and a smile and was never hesitant to receive a hug from our daughters! We are saddened to hear of his passing.

Sheila and Robert So sorry to hear of the passing of you father. Your mother and father were such key contacts for our young familty when we joined First Church 25 years ago. They were both two quality Christians that my wife Dianne and I were so happy to get to know. I can still recall your Mom telling us about a time when she was driving with the 2 of you in a car, on a cold wintery night, an she began to skid out of control. She talked about how she put her hands up in the air and asked for Jesus' help in protecting her young children. I think of her every time I hear the song "Jesus Take the Wheel", by Carrie Underwood. Bob has been in our prayers since he left the Palmyra area and now that he is with your Mom, we will continue to pray for you and your family. May God be with you during this difficult time. Sincerely Steve and Dianne Schmehl

Sheila and Robert, Your dad was a great man. Both your parents were why there is a good God as you saw it in both of them. I always enjoyed having coffee or a snack with both of them. Once we went to Philadelphia with my daughter to see Stars on Ice.........and we all had coffee cups from the show..........we used them when we were together..........My daughter Elizabeth loved sitting and talking to your Mom........I miss them both..........Ralph J. Sheila and Robert So very sad to hear that your father has passed away. We always sat behind him at church and looked forward to seeing him every Sunday. No matter how he felt, he always had a smile. We really enjoyed the time we came with the Romberger's to have lunch with him and you,Sheila. Though we missed him, it was nice to keep in touch with him through cards. He always replied to our cards. He will be missed very much. You are in our thoughts and prayers Ron and Marsha Woleslagle

Sheila and Robert, we are very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I was very fortunate to get to know your parents on several mission trips we took together. On the first job that your father and I worked together on, we were hanging drywall on a ceiling in the South Carolina heat. Your dad was in his seventies and I was in my thirties. I was tired and thought he would soon want to take a break (so I could rest too),but just as we finished putting up a sheet he'd climb down the ladder and grab another. He wore me out that day. They were both very special people and we will miss them very much, but we also know they will be with us forever. Tom & Mary Ryan
