David D. Criley, Sr., age 55 of Heidlersburg, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his home. He was born Thursday, September 6, 1956 in Harrisburg, the son of the late G. Edwin and Myrtle (Murtiff) Criley.

He was employed as a truck driver by Hempt Bros. Inc. in Camp Hill.  He had previously owned and operated his own dump truck.  He was a member of Benders Lutheran Church in Biglerville.

He is survived by four sons: David  D. Criley, Jr., Michael S. Criley, Dustin W. Criley all of Duncannon, Cody D. Criley of Heidlersburg; one sister, A. Jane Hockenbroch of Mount Pleasant Mills; one brother, Robert R. Criley of Herndon; and two grandchildren: Corissa and Daniel Criley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia J. Higley, and three brothers: Harvey W., E. Ronald, and Paul N. Criley.   

Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, January 23 at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville with Reverend Susan J. McCarthy officiating. Interment will be in Liverpool Union Cemetery, Liverpool. A visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 PM until time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Benders Lutheran Church; 1385 Rentzel Road, Biglerville, PA 17307.

    Cody....was so glad to see your dad at the Hunterstown Diner 2 weeks ago..I ran into him occassionally over the years and always enjoyed talking with him. Met him at Motts years and years ago when he drove for them. Take care ....sorry to hear of your loss.
